I agree that business will continue to function as it does regardless of moral pressure, where ever it comes from. If there’s a rule, social more, or ethical guideline that can be bent, business execs will find a way to do it and not get caught.

I agree 100% with what you’re saying. I also would just get rid of the policy because its not worth losing your job over it. There are other ways to can make an impact on the ethical standard of the company

Too true Ashby. I like that your answer shows that its situational – “if i felt strongly enough about my new standards I would fight for it”. Maybe the previous standards were already sufficient and fighting for it wouldnt be necessary.

I agree that some of this should be the boss’ concern! While this doesn’t change our own ethical decision, I think it needs to be considered!

I agree with you, ultimately I would also get rid of the policy and keep my job. Also, the readers should educate themselves about products they are interested in.
