Having a “Morally Marriage”
This article I found made a connection between other minority groups that were once discriminated. It is hard for people now to believe that just a few decades ago the Jim Crow laws were legal. Men and women of different skill colors were banned from marriage due to morals. Since then, this has been over turned. Now people are trying to place a ban on gay marriage due to moral reasons as well. People believe that it is not morally right for two people of the same sex to marry. It two people are strongly in love with each other, they should have the right to marry just as other people have the right to marry whom they please. Strong argument is shown through this article that Proposition 8 is not only about “marriage” but it is also about the discrimination against a certain group of minorities.
